I hate the new tab feature in FF2.0, where each tab has its own [X] in it, rather than a single close-current-tab button. I think it’s bad ergonomics for the control to keep moving. I have had it bother me beyond just being different.

Fortunately, you can put it back the way it was. As mentioned a few times on Moxillazine forum, type about:config into the location bar to bring up all settings. Change the value of browser.tabs.closeButtons to 3.

There is also an extension that does a lot with the browser tabs: Tab Mix Plus.
